Meeting with Lt. Gen. Kamel El-Wazir to Support and Develop the Ready-Made Garment Industry in Egypt at the New Administrative Capital A meeting was held with Minister Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, with the participation of a number of leaders from the industrial sector, to discuss supporting and developing the ready-made garment and textile industry in the Arab Republic of Egypt, at the New Administrative Capital. The meeting was attended by Mr. Selim Shenkaya, CEO of Jade Textile in Egypt, and Mr. Moataz Abu Bakr, Regional Director of Corporate Communications and Government Relations at Jade Textile in Egypt. During the meeting, the company's activities and expansion plans for 2024-2025 were reviewed, along with a presentation of Jade Textile's future expansion and activity plan up to 2030. This plan focuses on enhancing production capacities, increasing operational efficiency, and increasing export volume to approximately half a billion dollars, within the framework of a clear and sustainable industrial vision. The Minister praised the company's vision and expansion plan, affirming the state's full support in removing any challenges that might hinder its implementation, in line with industrial development goals and Egypt's Vision 2030. This meeting reflects the strong institutional presence of Jade Textile Company and the alignment of its vision with the state's objectives, contributing to the growth of national industry and enhancing its competitiveness regionally and globally. For his part, Mr. Selim Shenkaya expressed his great admiration for the New Administrative Capital, emphasizing that it is ahead of its time and embodies the features of cities in 2050, with a sophisticated future vision that reflects modern planning keeping pace with the requirements of sustainable development and placing Egypt among the ranks of developed nations.
