Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade Visits Jade Textile Ismailia, Praises Sustainable Industrial Investment model

Jade Textile Ismailia welcomed H.E. Dr. Mohamed Farid Saleh, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, during an official visit to explore the company’s experience as a model of sustainable industrial investment and learn more about its production and export capabilities in the ready-made garments sector.

The Minister was accompanied by Dr. Mohamed Awad, CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI), and Mr. Yasser Ahmed Abbas, Deputy CEO of GAFI. The delegation was received by Mr. Farhan Ifram, General Manager of Jade Textile Ismailia, Mr. Moataz Abu Bakr, Country Manager of Corporate Communications and Government Relations at Jade Textile Egypt, along with several company leaders.

The visit included a tour of the factory’s production lines and facilities, providing an overview of its latest manufacturing technologies, new expansions within the Ismailia Public Free Zone, and sustainability and green transformation projects designed to enhance operational efficiency.

Established in 2019 across approximately 180,000 square meters, Jade Textile Ismailia is one of Yeşim Group’s key industrial investments in Egypt. The facility employs more than 6,000 employees and manufactures products exported to leading global brands.

During the visit, Jade Textile presented its sustainable manufacturing practices, including its Zero Waste approach, solar energy projects exceeding 1.5 MW in capacity, and water recycling systems that have contributed to reducing water consumption by up to 60%. The company also highlighted environmental initiatives, including planting 1,000 trees within and around the facility.

The company also presented its People First philosophy, which focuses on employee development, women’s empowerment, and creating a supportive workplace through training and development programs. This includes the on-site nursery, which provides free services to more than 300 children of employees.

Jade Textile continues to strengthen its investments in Egypt, targeting export growth of up to USD 500 million by 2030 through an industrial model that combines quality, innovation, and sustainability while supporting the competitiveness of Egyptian industry in global markets.
