Jade Textile Discusses Expansion, Sustainability, and Export Growth Plans with Minister of Industry
Eng. Khaled Hashem, Minister of Industry, received Mr. Selim Çankaya, CEO of Jade Textile Group in Egypt, to discuss the company's expansion plans and future vision for strengthening its investments in the Egyptian market, in the presence of a number of senior ministry officials.

During the meeting, Jade Textile reviewed its journey in Egypt since 2008, highlighting its operations across factories in Alexandria, 10th of Ramadan City, and Ismailia. The company currently provides approximately 15,000 job opportunities while contributing to the growth of Egypt's textile and ready-made garments sector and supporting the country's export performance.
The discussions also covered Jade Textile's plans to increase its production capacity and expand through the establishment of new manufacturing facilities, supporting its export targets over the coming years. The company also presented its vision for further developing its industrial operations to enhance its competitiveness in global markets.
The meeting addressed Jade Textile's sustainability and green transformation initiatives, including investments in sustainable dyeing technologies, environmentally friendly textile production, and advanced technical fabrics, as well as opportunities to invest in textile waste recycling in support of circular economy principles.

The Minister of Industry reaffirmed the government's commitment to supporting industrial investments and providing an enabling environment for business growth. He emphasized the strategic importance of the textile and garment sector within Egypt's Industrial Strategy 2030 and its role in boosting exports and creating employment opportunities.
For his part, Selim Çankaya emphasized that Egypt represents a strategic production and export hub within the Group's global operations, reaffirming the company's commitment to its long-term investments in the country to support industrial growth and strengthen the competitiveness of Egypt's textile and ready-made garments industry.
